Present Bias in Renewable Resources Management Reduces Agent’s Welfare

This article analyses the effects of myopic and present-biased preferences on welfare a naive agent when he/she is engaged in an intertemporal harvesting activity from stock renewable resources. The analysis conducted by also taking into account nature behaviours as phenomena that derived dual system discounting response to short long-term stimuli. In task resources, present biased create conflict between long-run benefit short-run desire. Thus, this demonstrates argues decision-making, which involves choices resources management, prevalence behaviour, strongly influenced emotional-affective system, can lead reduction overall utility enjoyed individual due bias.
