Pricing for Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface Aided Wireless Networks: Models and Principles

Owing to the recent advancements of meta-materials and meta-surfaces, concept reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) has been embraced meet spectral- energyefficient, yet cost-effective solutions for sixth-generation (6G) wireless networks. From an operational standpoint, RISs can be easily deployed on facades buildings indoor walls. Albeit promising, in actual network operation, deployment may face challenges because willingness benefits RIS holders from aspect installing their properties. Accordingly, RIS-aided networks are faced with a formidable mission: how balance service providers (WSPs) terms respective interests. To alleviate this deadlock, we focus application pricing models pursuit win-win solution both sides. Specifically, commence comprehensive introduction its potential applications networks, meanwhile fundamentals summarized order benefit WSPs.
