چکیده
ABSTRACT Fatty acid (FA) profile is one of the most important aspects nutritional properties milk. The FA content in milk affected by several factors such as diet, physiology, environment, and genetics. Recently, principal component analysis (PCA) multivariate factor (MFA) have been used to summarize complex correlation pattern extracting a reduced number new variables. In this work, sample 993 Sarda breed ewes was analyzed with PCA MFA compare ability these 2 statistical techniques investigating possible existence latent substructures, studying influence physiological environmental effects on extracted Individual scores were mixed model that included fixed parity, days milking, lambing month, lambs born, altitude flock location, random effect nested within altitude. Fatty acid profile of ewe’s milk infected with Staphylococcus spp.
Background: Mastitis in sheep caused by Staphylococcus spp. is a serious concern for dairy farming. Aims: The objective of this study was to evaluate the impact of the intramammary infection (IMI) caused by Staphylococcus spp. on the long-chain fatty acid profile and composition of ewe’s milk. Methods: The experiment was conducted in a herd of Zoslachtena Valaska sheep. Half-udder milk samples ...
متن کاملPrincipal component analysis and exploratory factor analysis.
In this paper we compare and contrast the objectives of principal component analysis and exploratory factor analysis. This is done through consideration of nine examples. Basic theory is presented in appendices. As well as covering the standard material, we also describe a number of recent developments. As an alternative to factor analysis, it is pointed out that in some cases it may be useful ...

Consider the situation where a researcher wants to determine the predictors for the fitness level (yes/no) to be assessed by treadmill by collecting the variables (Table I) of 50 subjects. Unfortunately the treadmill machine in the air-con room has broken down (the participants do not want to run in the hot sun!), and no assessment of fitness could be carried out. What could be done to analyse ...
متن کاملThresholded Multivariate Principal Component Analysis for Phase I Multichannel Profile Monitoring
Monitoring multichannel profiles has important applications in manufacturing systems improvement, but it is non-trivial to develop efficient statistical methods due to the facts that profiles are high-dimensional functional data with intrinsic innerand inter-channel correlations, and that the change might only affect a few unknown features of multichannel profiles. To tackle these challenges, w...
