چکیده

This work's first aim is to fit the simulated results pilot plant data from Test Centre Mongstad (TCM) for both high and low CO2 exhaust gas inlet concentrations. The next evaluate whether fitted parameters one scenario (a set of experimental under specified conditions) give reasonable predictions other conditions. scenarios at TCM have been in a rate-based model Aspen Plus (RateSep) an equilibrium-based HYSYS. model’s performance were by only changing liquid hold-up factor (multiplied with estimated Bravo/Rocha/Fair correlations) obtain removal efficiency. In model, Murphree efficiency (EM) was 24 or 18 stages (meter packing) temperature profile data. EM profiles then used adjusting EM-factor, multiplying all values profile. (CO2 profile) reasonably each given models. It shown this work that use (and not interfacial area factor) convenient Using concentration predict needed adjustment (liquid EM-factor) correct predictions. A 0.72 EM-factor 1.72 gave compared Esbjerg plant.

Simulation of Co2 Capture Process

Carbon dioxide capture process has been simulated and studied under different process conditions. It has been shown that several process parameters such as lean amine temperature, number of adsorber stages, number of stripper stages and stripper pressure affect different process conditions and outputs such as carbon dioxide removal and reboiler duty. It may be concluded that the simulation of c...

Correlating Physicochemical Properties of Commercial Membranes with CO2 Absorption Performance in Gas-Liquid Membrane Contactor

The gas-liquid membrane contactor (GLMC) is a promising alternative gas absorption/desorption configuration for effective carbon dioxide (CO2 ) capture. The physicochemical properties of membranes may synergistically affect GLMC performances, especially during the long-term operations. In this work, commercial polypropylene (PP) and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) hollow fiber (HF) membranes wer...

the role of application of dynamic assessment approach in improvement of iranian efl writing performance at different language proficiency levels

the present study sought to investigate the role of dynamic assessment (da) in improvement of iranian efl writing performance at different language proficiency levels. to this end, after conducting the quick placement test, 60 iranian efl learners were assigned to two groups with different language proficiency levels. in both groups each participant wrote two compositions, one before and one af...

A Physical Absorption Process for the Capture of Co2 from Co2-rich Natural Gas Streams

A new CO2/CH4 gas separation process is presented in this paper. Capture of CO2 from natural gas is carried out using an n-alkane solvent in a conventional physical absorption process. A methodology to find optimal process condition and solvent has been developed using an advanced equation of state (SAFT-VR), process modelling-optimisation software (gPROMS), and detailed process cost estimation...

Uncertainties due to Fuel Heating Value and Burner Efficiency on Performance Functions of Turbofan Engines Using Monte Carlo Simulation

In this paper, the impacts of the uncertainty of fuel heating value as well as the burner efficiency on performance functions of a turbofan engine are studied. The mean value and variance curves for thrust, thrust specific fuel consumption as well as propulsive, thermal and overall efficiencies are drawn and analyzed, considering the aforementioned uncertainties based on various Mach numbers at...
