چکیده
Carbon dioxide is a major greenhouse gas, and its fixation transformation are receiving increasing attention. Biofixation of CO2 an eco–friendly efficient way to reduce CO2, six natural pathways have been identified in microorganisms plants. In this review, the along with most recent variant pathway were firstly comparatively characterized. The key metabolic process enzymes also summarized. Next, Rubiscos, biotin-dependent carboxylases, CO dehydrogenase/acetyl-CoA synthase, 2-oxoacid:ferredoxin oxidoreductases, for transforming inorganic carbon (CO2, CO, bicarbonate) organic chemicals, specially analyzed. Then, factors including enzyme properties, concentrating, energy, reducing power requirements that affect efficiency discussed. Recent progress improving through engineering was then artificial thermodynamical and/or energetical advantages or benefits their applications biosynthesis included as well. challenges prospects biofixation conversion

Biofixation of Carbon Dioxide from Kerosene Combustion and Biomass Production by Spirulina
Background and purpose: CO2 is the main cause of greenhouse effect. Previous studies have shown that CO2 in methane and coal flue gas can lead to microalgae growth. The aim of this research was to study the CO2 biofixation by Spirulina and injecting kerosene flue gas. Materials and methods: A photo bioreactor was fabricated in which kerosene flue gas and air were separately injected. The ph...
متن کاملSome characteristics of microalgae isolated in Taiwan for biofixation of carbon dioxide
To contribute the biological mean of CO2 fixation, more than 200 microalgal isolates were screened from lakes, ponds, sediments, hog wastewater, paddy fields, hot springs, and seawater in Taiwan. Two unicellular microalgae, Chlorella sp. NTU-H15 and Chlorella sp. NTU-H25, were isolated from hog wastewater. In the laboratory, they were able to grow up even in aeration containing CO2 up to 40% an...

Several membrane channels, like aquaporin-1 (AQP1) and the RhAG protein of the rhesus complex, were hypothesized to be of physiological relevance for CO(2) transport. However, the underlying assumption that the lipid matrix imposes a significant barrier to CO(2) diffusion was never confirmed experimentally. Here we have monitored transmembrane CO(2) flux (J(CO2)) by imposing a CO(2) concentrati...
متن کاملEnzyme microheterogeneous hydration and stabilization in supercritical carbon dioxide.
Supercritical carbon dioxide is a promising green-chemistry solvent for many enzyme-catalyzed chemical reactions, yet the striking stability of some enzymes in such unconventional environments is not well understood. Here, we investigate the stabilization of the Candida antarctica Lipase B (CALB) in supercritical carbon dioxide-water biphasic systems using molecular dynamics simulations. The pr...
