Prompt production of the hidden charm pentaquarks in the LHC

Abstract Motivated by the observation of first hidden charm pentaquarks LHCb collaboration in 2015 and updated analysis with an order-of-magnitude larger data set 2019, we estimate their cross sections for prompt production as well heavy quark spin partners, $$\Sigma _c^{(*)}\bar{D}^{(*)}$$ Σ c ( ∗ ) D ¯ hadronic molecular picture, at center-of-mass energy $$7~\text {TeV}$$ 7 TeV pp collision. Their are several $${\mathrm {nb}}$$ nb would expect tens pentaquark events LHC based on its current integrated luminosity. The show a sizable deviation third isospin component $$I_z=+\frac{1}{2}$$ I z = + 1 2 ( $$P_c^+$$ P ) from those $$I_z=-\frac{1}{2}$$ - $$P_c^0$$ 0 ). decrease dramatically increasing transverse momentum. Our study can also tell where to search missing pentaquarks. confirmation complete symmetry further verify interpretation. In addition, relative strength among these help us identify quantum numbers $$P_c(4440)$$ 4440 $$P_c(4457)$$ 4457 .
