Proportional fair scheduling using water-filling technique for SC-FDMA based D2D communication

The resource allocation in SC-FDMA is constrained by the condition that multiple subchannels should be allocated to a single user only if they are adjacent. Therefore, scheduling scheme of D2D-cellular system uses must also conform so-called adjacency constraint. This paper proposes heuristic algorithm with low computational complexity applies proportional fair (PF) system. proposed consists two main phases: (i) subchannel and (ii) adjustment data rates, which executed for both CUEs DUEs. In phase (or D2D pairs), users’ rates maximized via optimal power frequency-contiguous subchannels. second phase, PF problem solved decide modulation coding (MCS) pairs. Both phases benefit from Water-Filling (WF) technique. simulation results suggest performs similar perspective rate their logarithmic sum. An additional its overhead.
