Publishing a Special Issue of Reports from the volcano observatories in Latin America

Peer-reviewed publications are the most common way of sharing scientific knowledge internationally. Volcanica is only fully diamond open access journal in volcanology, publishing peer-reviewed articles without costs to authors or readers. As part our wider mission, also aims address some biggest barriers research publication and increase accessibility published, written outputs. In this Editorial, we discuss Volcanica’s latest venture: publish a complete Special Issue Reports—one flagship formats designed specifically for cutting edge, direct observations from volcanoes—and do so both English Spanish languages. Las publicaciones revisadas por pares son la forma más común de compartir el conocimiento científico nivel internacional. es única revista tipo “diamond access” en volcanología que publica artículos revisados sin ningún costo para los autores o lectores. también tiene como objetivos reducir algunas las mayores barreras científicas y aumentar accesibilidad resultados investigaciones publicadas. En este editorial, analizamos última aventura Volcanica: publicar un número especial constituido íntegramente Reportes –uno nuestros formatos publicación insignia, diseñado específicamente observaciones directas vanguardia sobre volcanes– idiomas inglés español.
