چکیده
BACKGROUND: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has been going on for more than 2 years, with various treatments and diagnostic methods available. One of the most prized structures, receptor-binding domain (RBD) spike protein in severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus long thoroughly researched its function becoming target treatments, including a vaccine. The spike-RBD (sRBD) antibody count might be parameter response vaccinated infected individuals. However, no direct comparison is made. AIM: study aims to compare sRBD naturally individuals ones. METHODS: We conducted cross-sectional 49 participants patients, were included this from Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Hospital, Manado. underwent COVID-19 test, using enhanced “Chemiluminescence” Immuno assay analyze anti-sRBD IgG quantitatively. Results then analyzed compared IBM Statistical Package Social Sciences ver 25.0 Mann−Whitney non-parametric test. RESULTS: shows higher median group (132.70 vs. 11.95 U/mL; p < 0.001). Further studies topic should determine larger scale. CONCLUSION: s-RBD titer significantly patients

متن کاملSARS-CoV-2 infection: its psychiatric manifestations
Background: The clinical presentation of SARS-CoV-2 infection was initially dominated by respiratory symptoms. However the clinical spectrum is wide and neuropsychiatric syndromes are also a source of medical concern. Our aims are to present an atypical clinical presentation of SARS-CoV-2 infection characterized by auditory hallucinations and unusual behavior and to emphasize the diversity of ...
متن کاملReduced incorporation of SARS-CoV spike protein into viral particles due to amino acid substitutions within the receptor binding domain.
Cell clone #21 is a long-term producer of the infectious SARS-coronavirus, although the incorporation rate of spike (S) protein into virions is significantly lower. Sequencing analysis of the viral structural proteins revealed four and one amino acid substitutions in the S and membrane (M) proteins, respectively. We demonstrated, using a viral-like particle formation system, that the S mutation...
متن کاملCryo-EM structures of MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV spike glycoproteins reveal the dynamic receptor binding domains
The envelope spike (S) proteins of MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV determine the virus host tropism and entry into host cells, and constitute a promising target for the development of prophylactics and therapeutics. Here, we present high-resolution structures of the trimeric MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV S proteins in its pre-fusion conformation by single particle cryo-electron microscopy. The overall structures...
متن کاملEvolutionary Analysis of Mammalian ACE2 and the Key Residues Involved in Binding to the Spike Protein Revealed Potential SARS-CoV-2 Hosts
Introduction: Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) spilled over to humans via wild mammals, entering the host cell using angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) as receptor through Spike (S) protein binding. While SARS-CoV-2 became fully adapted to humans and globally spread, some mammal species were infected back. The present study evaluated the potential risk of mammals...
