چکیده
Seawater desalination water intake site selection has an important impact on the investment, production cost, stable operation, and safety of seawater plants. Site is affected by many factors, such as natural geography, ecological environment, social economy coastal zones; some constraints can be directly identified unsuitable areas for these construction projects. For shallow method desalination, this study selects suitability evaluation indicators from three influencing factors basic industrial development constructs a model based multifactor spatial overlay analysis Geographic Information System platform. This carries out quantitative realizes suitable zoning spatially selecting intake, thus forming scientific, quantitative, system process. The was applied in Rongcheng city offshore area China analyzed. results showed that comprised 304.8 square kilometers, which were mainly distributed northern near coastline its central southern regions. covered 292.4 marine red line aquaculture city. met needs project improves upon existing at theoretical technical levels provides scientific basis location planning large ranges waters.

Technical and Economical Evaluation of Desalination Processes for Potable Water from Seawater
At low pressure and temperature, water is easily vaporized under partial vacuum pressure. Desalination of seawater as source of potable water is globally considered as an applied reliable technology. At low temperature and pressure, the heat transfer process yield is higher than any normal process. Therefore, the rate of vaporization of seawater is much higher than any usual processes. The part...
متن کاملFuzzy Approach for Water Desalination Plants Selection
Seawater desalination plants have been utilized to supply fresh water to the State of Kuwait since the early 50’s. In spite of the fact that there are several types of desalination technology that can be used more efficiently and economically, one type of desalination technology, namely multi-stage flash (MSF), has been used extensively in Kuwait. This work is an attempt to identify the most su...
متن کاملElectrochemically mediated seawater desalination.
With global demand rising faster than availability, fresh water is quickly becoming a limited resource. In fact, the United Nations estimates one third of the world s population is living in water-stressed regions, and by 2025 this number is expected to double. Seawater desalination is an attractive solution to this problem because seawater accounts for more than 97% of the world s water supply...

Given the reduced freshwater supplies across the world, seawater desalination is one of the appropriate methods available for producing freshwater. Selecting an optimal location is crucial in the installation of these plants owing to the environmental problems they cause. The present study was conducted to identify optimal locations for installing desalination Plants in the coastal areas of sou...
