چکیده
The mechanical and thermal behavior of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE)/metallic quasicrystal powder (MQP) composites are evaluated at filler volume fractions (∅f) 0.01, 0.02, 0.06 0.15. MQP is based on an aluminum alloy, synthesized characterized to act as a for UHMWPE. preparation the was conducted by compression molding. Morphological analysis reveals larger smaller MPQ particles, being well distributed, mechanically anchored in matrix. melting temperature maintained after adding filler, while crystallinity values decreased. When MQP, improvement stability observed increases both initial maximum loss rate temperatures (Tmax). However, when about 700°C all present oxidation due presence. Pukansky model shows that have better interfacial adhesion. This confirmed Nicolais-Narkis equation. contributes increase modulus elasticity composite respect others. elongation break reduced 0.15 composite. higher fraction increased stiffness UHMWPE, reflecting its potential use reinforcement.

Thermal properties—such as thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity, and specific heat—of metal (copper, zinc, iron, and bronze) powder-filled high-density polyethylene composites are investigated experimentally in the range of filler content 0–24% by volume. Experimental results show a region of low particle content, 0–16% by volume, where the particles are distributed homogeneously in the po...

Tertiary amine-modified corn starches were converted to their basic or hydroxide form and combined with carboxylated butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer and butadiene-styrene-sulfonic acid polymer to produce ionically bonded filler-elastomer composites. An increasing percentage of the elastomer fraction in the starch-elastomer composite is insolubilized as the starch-to-elastomer ratio increases....
