Radiation instability of a relativistic electron beam moving in a split resonator

In this paper, we considered the radiation instability in a split asymmetric resonator for relativistic case assuming space charge of beam. small-signal approximation, expressions energy loss by particle passing through and beam current modulation are obtained. Based on analytical numerical calculations, it is shown that symmetric configuration provides highest growth rate instability. It found with increase initial electron energy, as well efficiency transfer from particles to electromagnetic field decrease. The density has positive effect results obtained have be taken into account when developing generators or system modulating based resonator.
