Random symmetric phase feeding compensation method for phased array radar based on equivalent monopulse model

In a phased array radar, the phase quantisation error of shifters can lead to beam steering (BSE) between predetermined and actual directions. Existing researches on feeding optimisation suffer from high computational complexity large storage space. this study, an equivalent monopulse method is first proposed yield BSE with O(N) by formulating equation BSE. Further, symmetric compensation (SPFC) developed basis scheme cancel employing planar array. Subsequently, random formulated further reduce residual errors SPFC, (RSPFC) proposed. The SPFC RSPFC methods possess complexities allow for parallel calculation element feedings, thus making more applicable embedded controller radar. Based computer simulations radar experiments, are validated superior pointing accuracies improve fluctuations in angle tracking.
