Rapid virus detection using magnetic second harmonics of superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles

چکیده
Virus detection methods based on nonlinear magnetic response of nanoparticles have been investigated, and using the third harmonic are widely applied, owing to their high sensitivity short measurement time. This paper proposes a virus method second because its larger signal component. We found that is superior for small nanobeads large change in signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) with concentration. In addition, limit 100 pg/ml achieved. Therefore, proposed can potentially be utilized rapid screening viruses.

Superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles: magnetic nanoplatforms as drug carriers
A targeted drug delivery system is the need of the hour. Guiding magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles with the help of an external magnetic field to its target is the principle behind the development of superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPIONs) as novel drug delivery vehicles. SPIONs are small synthetic γ-Fe₂O₃ (maghemite) or Fe₃O₄ (magnetite) particles with a core ranging between 10 nm ...

متن کاملWashing effect on superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles.
Much recent research on nanoparticles has occurred in the biomedical area, particularly in the area of superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPIONs); one such area of research is in their use as magnetically directed prodrugs. It has been reported that nanoscale materials exhibit properties different from those of materials in bulk or on a macro scale [1]. Further, an understanding of the...

In this study, magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (Fe3O4) with the size range of 20-30 nm were prepared by the modified controlled chemical co-precipitation method from the solution of ferrous/ferric mixed salt-solution in alkaline medium. In this process polyethylene glycol was used as a surfactant to prevent the solution from agglomeration. The prepared magnetic nanoparticles were characterize...
