Raw or Cooked? Object Detection on RAW Images

چکیده
Images fed to a deep neural network have in general undergone several handcrafted image signal processing (ISP) operations, all of which been optimized produce visually pleasing images. In this work, we investigate the hypothesis that intermediate representation images is sub-optimal for downstream computer vision tasks compared RAW representation. We suggest operations ISP instead should be towards end task, by learning parameters jointly during training. extend previous works on topic and propose new learnable operation enables an object detector achieve superior performance when both traditional RGB experiments open PASCALRAW dataset, empirically confirm our hypothesis.

Raw versus cooked vegetables and cancer risk.
This review of the medical literature from 1994 to 2003 summarizes the relationship between raw and cooked vegetables and cancer risk and examines whether they may affect cancer risk differently. Twenty-eight studies examined the relationship between raw and cooked vegetables and risk for various cancers. Twenty-one studies assessed raw, but not cooked, vegetables and cancer risk. The majority ...
متن کاملEffect of Citrus Seed Extracts on Oxidative Stabilityof Raw and Cooked Chicken Meat
The potential of extracts prepared from seeds of three citrus species (orange, lemon and grapefruit) to stabilize lipid oxidation of cooked and raw broiler meat under refrigeration storage was evaluated and compared with butylated hydroxyl anisole (BHA), a synthetic antioxidant. The citrus seed extracts were separately applied at a rate of 1.5% of the weight of the meat. There was a negative co...
متن کاملProcessing RAW Images in MATLAB
This is an instructional document concerning the steps required to read and display the unprocessed sensor data stored in RAW photo formats. RAW photo files contain the raw sensor data from a digital camera; while it can be quite scientifically useful, raw data must generally be processed before it can be displayed. In this tutorial, the nature of the raw sensor data is explored. The scaling an...
متن کاملAnalysis of phytate in raw and cooked potatoes
The phytate (myo-inositol hexakisphosphate) contents of eight varieties of potato (Solanum tuberosum) stored at 4 C for approximately 3 months ranged from 0.111% to 0.269% of dry weight. The phytate was distributed evenly throughout raw unpeeled russet potatoes. There were no significant differences in phytate content between raw russet potatoes and those which had been boiled, baked or microwa...
متن کاملThe isolation of Salmonella from raw, cooked and dried foods.
Between June 1977 and May 1982, 2,291 samples of raw, cooked and dried foods were examined for the presence of Salmonella. Of these samples, 43 were positive, isolations being made from raw foods (4.8%) and cooked foods (0.4%) but not from dried foods. 14 Salmonella seratypes were isolated, Salmonella anatum being the most predominant. The significance of these isolations is discussed and the n...
