Abstract A requirement of future industrial automation systems is the application intelligence in context their optimization, adaptation and reconfiguration. This paper begins with an introduction definition (artificial) to derive a framework for artificial enhanced systems: An component connected system's control unit other entities through series standardized interfaces data information exchange. then put into intelligent Digital Twin architecture, highlight latter as possible implementation such systems. Concluding, prototypical on basis modular cyber-physical production system described. The realized this way provides four fundamental sub-processes intelligence, namely observation, analysis, reasoning action. detailed description all technologies used given.
