Recent advancements in legumes: Next generation sequencing and omics approaches

Legumes are important food crops in sustaining security globally along with improving physio-chemical soil properties by mechanism of biological nitrogen (N2) fixation. Different types abiotic stresses (especially their intensity, duration, and magnitude) such as drought, salt, cold heat affect crop yield negatively threaten overall security. As the world population is expanding rapidly on limited agricultural resources, sustainable management same need hour. major fixers that enriched metabolites, which provide second line defence against several biotic well stresses. In past years genome sequence information grain legumes has been documented. Due to sequencing, re-sequencing RNA sequencing (RNA Seq.) legumes, associated legume development, structural variation, differentially expressed genes functional genomics was made available. Regulation entire plant physiology fixation during stress multifaceted only some pathways have revealed. This review focussed exploring genetic variations analysed through omics approaches enhance productivity under legumes. Therefore this reviewis a compilation recent biotechnological advancements using for better understanding tolerance.
