Recent Trends and Patterns of Gasoline Consumption in Nigeria

This article analyses recent trends and spatial patterns of gasoline consumption in Nigeria. In particular, it shows that the volume country fluctuates with changes economic growth. The pattern distribution indicates largest centres are South-West South-South geopolitical zones country, specifically Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Edo, Rivers Delta States. Other locations high Kaduna, Kano, Imo states Abuja (Federal Capital Territory). Compared a previous study, four additional identified Delta, States (FCT). Results multiple regression analysis show variation is related to number gasoline-using vehicles newly registered per capita income states. study provides framework for development meaningful policies reduction transportation-related energy consumption.
