High-density recording in photopolymer-based holographic three-dimensional disks.
The performance specifications of a holographic three-dimensional disk system are experimentally characterized. A surface density of 10 bits/µm(2) is experimentally demonstrated with a 100-µm-thick photopolymer as the recording medium.
متن کاملCrystallographic and Magnetic Characteristics of Ba Ferrite Sputtered Films for High Density Magnetic Recording Disks
Ba ferrite films with non-stoichiometric composition were deposited using Facing Targets Sputtering apparatus. The films with well c-axis orientation and remarkable perpendicular anisotropy were attained even at the substrate temperature below 600°C. Sufficiently large saturation magnetization 4 w o f 3.7 kGand small crystallite size below 20 nm were attained using the targets with Fe-excessive...
متن کاملQuadri-Value MO Recording Layers for Double-MAMMOS Readout Method
Double-MAMMOS is an excellent method to increase memory density for MO recording. This method modifies the usual MAMMOS technique by applying double recording layers. Written domains in each recording layer can be selectively copied and expanded in a reading layer. By this method, memory density can be doubled. However, it is necessary to record twice, recording separately into two layers. Ther...
متن کاملEvaluation of Nilfs2 for Shingled Magnetic Recording (SMR) Disks
The nature of Shingled Magnetic Recording (SMR) disks makes log structured file systems suitable for such disks. Nilfs2 is a promising log structured file system and is available in the Linux kernel source as an experimental file system. Nilfs2 is actively maintained and stable, providing a good platform for functional and performance evaluation of SMR disks. The Linux Test Project (LTP) test-s...
متن کاملStructure and Thermomagnetic Properties of New FeCo-based Nanocrystalline Ferromagnets
FeCo-based ferromagnetic alloys (HITPERM variants) of composition Fe44 5Co44 5Zr7B4, Fe44Co44Zr5 7B3 3Ta2Cu1, Fe44Co44Zr5 7B3 3Mo2Cu1, and Fe37 2Co30 8Zr7B4Cu1 were prepared by melt-spinning amorphous precursors, followed by nanocrystallization. Samples were characterized using vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM), x-ray diffraction (XRD), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). VSM was use...
