Reducing Arm Fatigue in Virtual Reality by Introducing 3D-Spatial Offset

Arm fatigue is an important factor affecting user experience in Virtual Reality (VR). In this work, we have proposed ProxyHand and StickHand, virtual hand techniques to address issue. Using or users can flexibly adjust the 3D-spatial offset between physical its representation. This will allow keep their arms a comfortable posture (vertically down) even when they manipulate objects locations that require lifting of using default interaction method. Proposed StickHand similar Underlying concept introduce representation VR. However, respond differently user’s movements because different working mechanisms.
