چکیده

Objectives: Vascularization is an important stage for tissues and organs. The vascular network succeeded by the attachment, spreading, proliferation of endothelial cells, completion endothelialization. Endothelization can be mediated laminin-derived peptides on microtissues. It known that Tyr-Ile-Gly-Ser-Arg (YIGSR) peptide contributes to microtissue formation promoting increased adhesion cells. This study aims determine efficacy YIGSR in Human Umbilicial Vein Endothelial Cell (HUVEC) scaffold free microtissues (SFMs). Methods: After solid phase synthesis YIGSR, were formed as SFMs. SFMs cultured with 0 mM (control group), 1.5 3 peptide. Diameters viability analysis HUVEC performed 1st, 4th 7th days. Results: diameters control group decreased day day. 1st days but significantly On other hand, had a tendency tissue because diameter. As result viability, cell viability. Conclusions: has been determined optimum amount enlargement concentration contributed Thus, found most promising increasing vascularization.

Effect of seeding technique and scaffold material on bone formation in tissue-engineered constructs.

The aim of the present study was to test the hypothesis that both scaffold material and the type of cell culturing contribute to the results of in vivo osteogenesis in tissue-engineered constructs in an interactive manner. CaCO3 scaffolds and mineralized collagen scaffolds were seeded with human trabecular bone cells at a density of 5 x 10(6) cells/cm(3) and were left to attach under standard c...

Bioengineering Human Scaffold-free Cartilage Constructs Using Paediatric Auricular Tissue

Currently, patients with external ear deformities rely on hyaline cartilage grafts or silicone prosthesis to provide them with adequate external ear reconstruction. Scaffold-free auricular tissue engineering provides a means of creating patient specific cartilage constructs solely using their own cells, ensuring biocompatibility, long term stability, and reduced morbidity. Here, we have develop...

Adipose Tissue Engineering: Comparing Scaffold-free and Fibrin-based Constructs

Introduction Success of adipose tissue engineering for soft tissue repair has been limited by poor cell survival and insufficient adipogenic differentiation. Although the choice of scaffold can influence these parameters, there is a limited number of studies focussing on the role of scaffolds in cell survival and. adipogenic differentiation. In this study we examined how three-dimensional scaff...

*The Effects of Scaffold Remnants in Decellularized Tissue-Engineered Cardiovascular Constructs on the Recruitment of Blood Cells

Decellularized tissue-engineered heart valves (DTEHVs) showed remarkable results in translational animal models, leading to recellularization within hours after implantation. This is crucial to enable tissue remodeling. To investigate if the presence of scaffold remnants before implantation is responsible for the fast recellularization of DTEHVs, an in vitro mesofluidic system was used. Human g...
