Microgrids are highlighted as the technology which can help in providing sustainable and efficient electrical energy solutions. They employ distributed resources to efficiently supply local load increase reliability of network. Design planning a pivotal importance yielding all advantages this concept provide. Reliability-oriented design is special interest for microgrids utilizing large share renewable energy-based, power electronics-interfaced resources. A state-of-the-art overview included paper has shown that main reliability-oriented microgrid improvements done field sizing scheduling combined with relevant forecasting optimization methods.
