چکیده
Abstract Background The dietary nutritional status of the lactating mothers is related to maternal health and has a significant impact on growth development infants through secretion breast milk. food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) most cost-effective assessment method that can help obtain information usual pattern participants. Until now, FFQs have been used for different populations in China, but there are few available mothers. We aimed develop semi-quantitative, 156-item FFQ Chinese mothers, evaluate its reproducibility relative validity. Methods A total 112 completed two one 3-d record (3DR). first (FFQ1) was conducted during postpartum at 60–65 days second (FFQ2) subsequent follow-up 5 weeks. 3DR with portion sizes assessed using photographs taken by respondent before after eating (instant photography) 1 week FFQ1. Results For reproducibility, Spearman’s correlation coefficients ranged from 0.34 0.68, nutrients 0.25 0.61. Meanwhile, intra-class 0.48 0.87, 0.27 0.70. validity, 0.32 0.56, 0.23 0.72. energy-adjusted 0.26 0.55, 0.22 0.47. Moreover, de-attenuation 0.67, 0.28 0.77. Bland-Altman plots also showed reasonably acceptable agreement between methods. Conclusions This reproducible valid tool assessing intake

Reproducibility and relative validity of a semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire for Chinese pregnant women
BACKGROUND Food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) is a reliable tool to estimate dietary intake in large nutritional epidemiological studies, but there is lack of a current and validated FFQ for use in urban Chinese pregnant women. This study aimed to evaluate the reproducibility and validity of a semi-quantitative FFQ designed to estimate dietary intake among urban pregnant women in a cohort study...
متن کاملValidity and Reproducibility of a Semi-Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire Adapted to an Israeli Population
Assessment of individual representative dietary practices in epidemiologic research has long been a challenge. Given the differences in eating habits and availability of foods between populations, a study was set to test the reproducibility and validity of an Israeli-adapted semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire (SFFQ) used in case-control studies of cancer etiology. Two hundred volunt...

UNLABELLED Background. Food frequency questionnaires are used to assess dietary intake in epidemiological studies. Objective. The aim of the study was to assess the relative validity and reproducibility of a quantitative food frequency questionnaire (QFFQ) for adolescents with type 1 diabetes. METHODS Validity was evaluated by comparing the data generated by QFFQs to those of 24-hour recalls ...

The aims of this study were to assess the relative validity and reproducibility of a semi-quantitative food-frequency questionnaire (FFQ) applied in a large region-wide survey among 2.5-6.5 year-old children for estimating food group intakes. Parents/guardians were used as a proxy. Estimated diet records (3d) were used as reference method and reproducibility was measured by repeated FFQ adminis...
متن کاملRelative validity of a semi-quantitative food-frequency questionnaire in an elderly Mediterranean population of Spain.
The aim of the present study was to assess reproducibility and relative validity of a self-administered FFQ used in the PREDIMED Study, a clinical trial for primary prevention of CVD by Mediterranean diet in a population at high cardiovascular risk. The FFQ was administered twice (FFQ1 and FFQ2) to explore reproducibility at 1 year. Four 3 d dietary records (DR) were used as reference to explor...
