Research on Detent Force Characteristics of Winding Segmented Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor Based on Analytical Model

The winding segmented permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (WS-PMLSM) has not only a general slotting effect but also unique two-end caused by the stator and finite length passive mover, which makes detent force of WS-PMLSM possess qualities all types motors. This paper adopts physics-based multiple analytical method to study properties. First, an accurate sub-domain model is used obtain magnetic field distribution tooth slot, results solution graph slot are obtained using scalar potential. Subsequently, end unenergized core on analyzed Maxwell’s theory for effect, revealing that causes pulsating reversing fields in motor, turn creates mutual inductance with unequal phases, generates thrust fluctuations. Finally, complex relative air-gap permeability introduced basis conformal mapping equate generated magnet. accuracy proposed models was verified element (FEM) experimental model.
