Resource pooling in vehicular fog computing

Abstract Vehicular fog computing (VFC) provisions services at the edge of networks by fully exploiting idle resources vehicle loaded computer systems. Task scheduling and resource allocation revolved around VFC have gained tremendous attention recently. Currently, most these works in focused on response time optimization or energy reduction. Computing are provisioned a pay-as-you-go model vehicles as contributors stimulated benefits obtained leasing resources. How to maximize their own is one big concerns but few current recognized its importance VFC. We this paper introduce notion pooling into where pooled together jointly provision computational community. A genetic algorithm based strategy proposed solve problem for sake benefit maximization. Extensive experiments been carried out evaluate approach numeric results demonstrated that our outstands other approaches with regards objective.
