Space is the driving force of world’s sustainable development, and ensuring sustainability human activity in space also necessary. Robotic arm active debris capture removal (RA-ADCR) a noteworthy technology for containing dramatic increase maintaining orbital safety. This review divides RA-ADCR progress history into three periods presents status related research. Two major development trends are summarized subdivided through analysis collation research achievements over past years. Taking treatment parameter uncertainties as entry point, researchers would like to improve discrimination accuracy scope reduce uncertainties. On other hand, accept such offset avoid impact by extending error margins. Subsequently, challenges analyzed line with task execution flow, which mainly focuses on conflict between on-satellite computing power performance execution.
