چکیده
The primary aim of this research is to propose a revised triple sampling (TS) X¯ chart, where the derivations new formulae for computing average run length chart correctly are provided. secondary develop TS with estimated process parameters. charts compared double (DS) X¯, two stage adaptive sample size (AS2) and three (AS3) when parameters known using (ARL), number observations signal (ANOS), lengths (AARL), standard deviation (SDARL), (AANOS) (SDANOS) criteria, found be superior. Additionally, table giving minimum Phase-I samples estimating mean so that has desired in-control AARL AANOS performances

Monitoring the Process Mean Based on Quality Control Charts Using on Folded Ranked Set Sampling
In this paper, we proposed a new quality control chart for the sample mean based on a cost free and anti wasting sampling unit’s scheme known by the folded ranked set sampling (FRSS). The new control charts were compared with the classical control charts when the data obtained by using simple random sampling (SRS) and ranked set sampling (RSS). A simulation study showed that the FRSS based cont...
متن کاملSynthetic Phase II Shewhart-type Attributes Control Charts When Process Parameters are Estimated
The performance of attributes control charts (such as c and np charts) is usually evaluated under the assumption of known process parameters (i.e., the nominal proportion of nonconforming units or the nominal number of nonconformities). However, in practice, these process parameters are rarely known and have to be estimated from an in-control phase I data set. In this paper, we derive the run l...
متن کاملExponential CUSUM Charts with Estimated Control Limits
Exponential CUSUM charts are used in monitoring the occurrence rate of rare events because the interarrival times of events for homogeneous Poisson processes are independent and identically distributed exponential random variables. In these applications, it is assumed that the exponential parameter, i.e. the mean, is known or has been accurately estimated. However, in practice, the in-control m...
متن کاملThe Cusum Median Chart for Known and Estimated Parameters
• The usual CUSUM chart for the mean (CUSUM-X̄) is a chart used to quickly detect small to moderate shifts in a process. In presence of outliers, this chart is known to be more robust than other mean-based alternatives like the Shewhart mean chart but it is nevertheless affected by these unusual observations because the mean (X̄) itself is affected by the outliers. An outliers robust alternative ...
متن کاملAn Evaluation of an Adaptive Generalized Likelihood Ratio Charts for Monitoring the Process Mean
When the objective is quick detection both small and large shifts in the process mean with normal distribution, the generalized likelihood ratio (GLR) control charts have better performance as compared to other control charts. Only the fixed parameters are used in Reynolds and Lou’s presented charts. According to the studies, using variable parameters, detect process shifts faster than fixed pa...
