چکیده
The effects of silica fume and sodium silicate-based activators (SFA SSA, respectively) with different Ms (SiO2/Na2O) values on the setting behavior, rheological, mechanical, microstructural properties alkali-activated slag cement (AASC) were investigated. Setting time test results showed that AASCs activated by SFA prolonged significantly an increase value opposite to SSA activation case. From rheological point view, SFA-activated mixtures exhibited a slower structural build-up in early stage better workability retention than SSA-activated mixtures. In addition, lower drying shrinkage slightly higher mechanical as compared Microstructure analysis revealed mixture produced 1.2 had less micro-cracks well-packed microstructure SSA. overall evaluation could be more economical sustainable alternative its cost, much CO2 emissions, favorable engineering properties.

A Study of the Influence of Slag Alkali Level on the Alkali-Silica Reactivity of Slag Concrete
Ground granulated blast furnace slag (ggbs), can reduce the alkali load in concrete, despite its relatively high alkali content. Most research has been devoted to the efficacy of slag with an alkali content of less than 1.0% and this is reflected in guidance documents. A comparative assessment was made of the effect, if any, of the alkali level of ggbs on potential alkali-silica reactivity. Exp...
متن کاملEFFECTS OF SILICA MODULUS AND ALKALI CONCENTRATION ON ACTIVATION OF BLAST-FURNACE SLAG
Abstract: The use of alkali-activated cementitious materials especially over the past decades has significantly been increased. The goal of this research is to investigate the effects of silica modulus and alkali concentration on alkali-activation of blast-furnace slag. In this research, the most important physical characteristics of cementitious systems, i.e. the 28-day compressive strength...
متن کاملSELF-Cured Alkali Activated Slag Concrete Mixes- An Experimental Study
Alkali Activated Slag Concrete (AASC) mixes are manufactured by activating ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) using sodium hydroxide and sodium silicate solutions. The aim of the present experimental research was to investigate the effect of increasing the dosages of sodium oxide (Na2O, in the range of 4 to 8%) and the activator modulus (Ms) (i.e. the SiO2/Na2O ratio, in the range of ...
