Rigidity through a Projective Lens

In this paper, we offer an overview of a number results on the static rigidity and infinitesimal discrete structures which are embedded in projective geometric reasoning, representations, transformations. Part I considers fundamental case bar–joint framework d-space places particular emphasis invariance rigidity, coning between dimensions, transfer to spherical metric, slide joints pure conditions for singular configurations. II extends results, tools concepts from additional types rigid including body-bar, body–hinge rod-bar frameworks, all drawing transformations insights. III widens lens include closely related cofactor matroids arising multivariate splines, also exhibit invariance. These another example abstract with deep analogies rigidity. We conclude IV commentary some nearby areas.
