Routes to reduction of phosphate by high-energy events

چکیده

Abstract Phosphate minerals such as those in the apatite group tend to be dominant forms of phosphorus on Earth’s surface. can reduced phosphides during high-energy events, lightning and impacts. Here we show that, addition formation metal phosphides, a new compound was formed by fulgurite from New Port Richey, Florida, USA. A calcium phosphite material, ideally CaHPO 3 , found spherules mainly consisting iron silicides that lightning-induced fusion sand around tree root. This material bears oxidation state intermediate phosphates geologic sample implicates phosphites being potentially relevant other events where may partially change its redox state, similar this also source makes up part biogeochemical cycle.

Utilization of High-Energy Phosphate Compounds by Stomach

The frog gastric mucosa in vitro secretes HC1 and maintains its electrical activity for many hours. Both processes depend on the active transport of C1 ion and are inhibited under appropriate conditions by SCN ion. I t has been suggested that a membranebound ATPase from gastric mucosa is involved, since this ATPase is also inhibited by SCN (8). I t furthermore is stimulated by physiological con...

Phosphate Activation via Reduced Oxidation State Phosphorus (P). Mild Routes to Condensed-P Energy Currency Molecules

The emergence of mechanisms for phosphorylating organic and inorganic molecules is a key step en route to the earliest living systems. At the heart of all contemporary biochemical systems reside reactive phosphorus (P) molecules (such as adenosine triphosphate, ATP) as energy currency molecules to drive endergonic metabolic processes and it has been proposed that a predecessor of such molecules...

Integration of Energy Reduction into High-Level Synthesis by Partitioning

The optimization of power consumption at a very high design level is a critical step towards a power-efficient digital system design. The increasing usage of battery-powered and often wireless portable systems is driving the demand for IC and SoC devices consuming the smallest possible amount of energy. The aim of the method presented in this paper is to integrate low power methods within the s...

Inhibition of microbial arsenate reduction by phosphate.

The ratio of arsenite (As(III)) to arsenate (As(V)) in soils and natural waters is often controlled by the activity of As-transforming microorganisms. Phosphate is a chemical analog to As(V) and, consequently, may competitively inhibit microbial uptake and enzymatic binding of As(V), thus preventing its reduction to the more toxic, mobile, and bioavailable form - As(III). Five As-transforming b...
