This work evaluates growth strata adjacent to the Bakio Diapir in Basque Pyrenees, aiming discuss application of halokinetic-sequence concepts, mainly developed shallow-water subaerial environments, deepwater depositional settings. is one few exposed passive diapirs with both synkinematic carbonate and siliciclastic strata. Thus, considering that large hydrocarbon producing areas are located salt provinces this study interest not only researchers tectonics, but also industry geoscientists focusing on exploration production.
