Saturation in Qualitative Educational Technology Research

Saturation is a key construct used by qualitative research theorists as way to verify the rigor and validity of study. This study intends examine how saturation within educational technology studies that addressed saturation. We selected journals which (a) follow peer review process; (b) are considered influential in their fields high quality, reflected being Q1 (first quartile) or Q2 (second Scopus; (c) publish research. The number for this was 20, we 3 articles from each. methodology chosen interview-based, were published journal 5 recent years 2018–2022 (i.e., 5-year period). results indicated 20 out 60 participating paid attention definition saturation, 25 ‘why sought’, 26 ‘when sought’. All ‘how assessed’. most-mentioned expression indicate achievement emergence new information, themes, categories, codes, where most expressions related aspect.
