Second-order torsion effects in concrete buildings

ABSTRACT: The internal forces due to torsion in global analysis of buildings, and its second-order effects, usually are not properly considered structural design or even code’s prescriptions. Although the ?Z coefficient, which is used evaluation has a wide, useful consolidated application, it true that specific torsional aspects well by it. This paper discusses little-known ?? an analogous proposition but focused specifically on consideration effects. After discussion concepts methodology, several buildings evaluated their displacements coefficients calculated. Comparing these parameters, also results obtained P–? method, demonstrated importance reliability coefficient.
