Seed priming using moringa leaf extract and application of Tithonia compost on shallot growth

Early establishment of shallot growth is important in order to ensure optimum yield. This study aimed evaluate the effect seed priming with moringa leaf extract (MLE) and application Tithonia compost on shallots. The research was conducted at experimental farm belonging Faculty Agriculture, Hasanuddin University, Makassar, from September December 2022. arranged a factorial design three replications. first factor priming, consisting five levels: unprimed, hydropriming, 12.5% MLE, 25% 37.5% MLE. second level compost, four 0, 5, 10, 15 tons ha-1. results revealed that shallots treated combination MLE followed by ha-1 field had highest chlorophyll index (25.97). Priming solely resulted average height (38.23 cm), number plant leaves (10.55), weight (15.67 g), bulb (29.92 g).
