Seismic hazard on West Bandung district using non-linear earthquake response analysis

چکیده
West Bandung District is one of the government areas that grow rapidly in Java. Here several infrastructures such as Highspeed Rail Development, Modern Residences, Tourist Attractions Area, and International Retail Company supply major contributions to economic development. Rapid construction Basin caused pay attention risk factors, especially building structures. One natural hazards must be considered presence an active Lembang fault. Therefore, there a need for study takes into account how earthquake waves damaged buildings. In this study, analysis soil dynamics due ground motion from bedrock was carried out. The out using wave propagation method, which non-linear response. research conducted at 12 points locations District. As result, location with highest PGA surface value Mekar Jaya area, while lowest found Cililin area. Furthermore, provides scientific information on seismic support disaster reduction programs.

متن کاملPoisson model for earthquake frequency uncertainties in seismic hazard analysis
Frequency-magnitude distributions, and their associated uncertainties, are of key importance in statistical seismology. When fitting these distributions , the assumption of Gaussian residuals is invalid since event numbers are both discrete and of unequal variance. In general, the observed number in any given magnitude range is described by a binomial distribution which, given a large total num...
متن کاملA review of earthquake occurrence models for seismic hazard analysis
A large number of probabilistic earthquake occurrence models are currently available for seismic hazard assessment. This paper reviews the basic assumptions of the various models, summarizes their stochastic representations and discusses the parameters needed for applications. While the Poisson model is one of the most commonly used in practice it is limited in its representation of the physica...
