Seismic Performance of Concrete Column Connection with Square-Upper-Circular-Lower Steel Tube for Antique Buildings

چکیده
The antique building combines traditional design with contemporary technology, making it an important structural style. Columns, as a crucial component, directly affect how well the functions whole. This paper proposes new connection form upper square concrete-filled steel tube-lower circular tube (USCFST-LCCFST). study investigates seismic performance of proposed columns. First, finite element software ABAQUS-2021 is used to simulate and analyze forms lower reinforced concrete (USCFST-LCRC) (USSRC-LCRC) above building, respectively, which confirms rationality modeling method explored in this paper. Then, geometric USCFST-LCCFST performed using ABAQUS. Simulation results demonstrate superior form. In addition, influence law yield strength ratio column linear stiffness on its are analyzed determined through variational parameter analysis components recommended be 355–420 MPa should no less than 0.063. order ensure good connection, efficiently controlled buildings’ components.

Effect of column-foundation connection stiffness on seismic performance of rocking steel braced frame
Residual drifts after severe earthquakes interrupt serviceability of buildings. Retrofitting of such buildings is in many cases very difficult and consumes lots of time and money. Recently, there are some attempts to develop the seismic design procedures to not only satisfy life safety criteria but also lead to more economical buildings. One of these modern methods of improving seismic performa...
متن کاملSeismic Design of Concrete-Filled Circular Steel Bridge Piers
The adequacy of the existing design provisions for concrete-filled steel pipes subjected to axial forces and flexure is reviewed by comparing the strengths predicted by the CAN/CSA-S16.1-M94, AISC LRFD 1994, and the Eurocode 4 1994 codes and standards against experimental data from a number of investigators. New proposed design equations are then developed, in a format compatible with North Ame...

Results of an experimental investigation of the seismic performance of prefabricated column-footing connections are presented. Tests were conducted on six 1/4-scale prefabricated column specimens inserted into prefabricated footings in two Groups. Group-1 consisted of four specimens, which were tested under constant axial load and cyclic inelastic lateral displacements. The remaining two specim...
متن کاملSeismic Performance of Steel Plate-Reinforced Concrete Composite Shear Wall
In tall buildings the reinforced concrete (RC) shear wall is one of the predominant structural components used to resist lateral loads induced by earthquakes around the world. Previous research demonstrated that shear walls displayed a sudden loss in lateral capacity due to the wall corner and web crushing in the plastic zone. In addition, it was found that large shear distortions in shear wall...
متن کاملA Macro-element Based Practical Model for Seismic Analysis of Steel-Concrete Composite High-Rise Buildings
Seismic behaviour of steel-concrete composite high-rise buildings, composed of external steel frames (SF) and internal concrete tube (CT), with rectangular plan is investigated in this paper. A macro-element based model is established for seismic analysis of composite high-rise buildings aiming at predicting their global responses under earthquakes. By employing this macro-element based model, ...
