Sequencing and gene expression studies for Al tolerance in contrasting genotypes of tropical maize

Abstract The aims of this study were to evaluate the homology ZmMATE1 and ZmMATE2 gene sequences with those deposited in international banks quantify differential expression genes ZmMATE1, ZmMATE2, ZmNrat1 germplasms landrace hybrid maize under aluminum (Al) stress minimal solution. Fifty-two hybrids from different companies 50 varieties genotyped for ZmMATE2. For studies expression, tolerant (H 44 V 18) sensitive 22 25) genotypes exposed solution containing 4 mg L-1 Al periods (0, 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, 24, 48 h). results showed greater 18 variety indicating that exudation citrate may be main mechanism tolerance genotype.
