Signal Processing over Multilayer Graphs: Theoretical Foundations and Practical Applications

چکیده
Signal processing over single-layer graphs has become a mainstream tool owing to its power in revealing obscure underlying structures within data signals. However, many real-life datasets and systems, including those Internet of Things (IoT), are characterized by more complex interactions among distinct entities, which may represent multi-level that harder be captured with graph, can better multilayers graph connections. Such multilayer or naturally modeled high-dimensional (MLG). To generalize traditional signal (GSP) for analyzing features their interactions, this work proposes tensor-based framework (M-GSP). Specifically, we introduce core concepts M-GSP study properties MLG spectral space, followed fundamentals MLG-based filter design. illustrate novel aspects M-GSP, further explore link GSP. We provide example applications demonstrate the efficacy benefits applying practical scenarios.

Hybrid Planning - Theoretical Foundations and Practical Applications
The thesis presents a novel set-theoretic formalization of (propositional) hybrid planning – a planning framework that fuses Hierarchical Task Network (HTN) planning with Partial-Order Causal-Link (POCL) planning. Several sub classes thereof are identified that capture well-known problems such as HTN planning and POCL planning. For these problem classes, the complexity of the plan-existence pro...

Divide and conquer. This principle is central to many endeavors, ranging from children managing inconsistent parents to colonial powers controlling native peoples. In engineering and computational science it means breaking a big problem into smaller problems that can be more easily understood and solved. Putting the pieces back together gives a modular design, which is advantageous for implemen...
متن کاملTheoretical Foundations for Practical ‘Totally Functional Programming’
Interpretation is an implicit part of today’s programming; it has great power but is overused and has significant costs. For example, interpreters are typically significantly hard to understand and hard to reason about. The methodology of “Totally Functional Programming” (TFP) is a reasoned attempt to redress the problem of interpretation. It incorporates an awareness of the undesirability of i...

15 صفحه اولSuccinct Minimal Generators: Theoretical Foundations and Applications
In data mining applications, highly sized contexts are handled what usually results in a considerably large set of frequent itemsets, even for high values of the minimum support threshold. An interesting solution consists then in applying an appropriate closure operator that structures frequent itemsets into equivalence classes, such that two itemsets belong to the same class if they appear in ...
