Simulation and Experimental Research on Active Suspension System with Time-delay Feedback Control

A 2-DOF vehicle active suspension system model with time-delay feedback control is established. The stability region of the obtained by using Routh-Hurwitz criterion and polynomial discriminant theory. multi-objective optimization function established taking into account ride comfort, driving safety, handling stability, optimal parameters are particle swarm optimization(PSO) algorithm. vibration characteristics systems under different road excitations studied through experiments simulations then compared passive uncontrolled based on LQR. experimental results show that sprung mass acceleration(SMA) harmonic excitation reduced 58.02% 39.18% to LQR system, respectively. Meanwhile, acceleration random has a 69.56% 35.50% reduction performance controlled better than in numerical study experiment. Moreover, simulation good consistency, which proves reliability results.
