In order to evaluate cleanliness of steel samples which contain oxygen in two different forms - chemically dissolved form and physically dispersed matrix, identification each the is important. A simple but promising method for simultaneous analysis these types was developed present study using Inert Gas Fusion Infrared Absorption Method. By utilizing carbothermic reaction temperature type oxygen, (soluble oxygen) first separated from specimen at a low temperature, while (insoluble oxide inclusion) higher temperature. This idea applied number Al-killed ultra carbon specimens, alumina inclusions. It shown that separation soluble insoluble possible. The obtained content this new independently validated by conventional Method total cross-sectional non-metallic inclusion oxygen. possible supersaturation state liquid after RH process observed.
