چکیده

The concept of slice regular function over the real algebra $$\mathbb {H}$$ quaternions is a generalization notion holomorphic complex variable. Let $$\varOmega \subset \mathbb be domain, i.e., non-empty connected open subset {H}=\mathbb {R}^4$$ . Suppose that $$\varOmega$$ intersects {R}$$ and invariant under rotations around A $$f:\varOmega \rightarrow if it class $$\mathcal {C}^1$$ and, for all planes {C}_I$$ spanned by 1 quaternionic imaginary unit I ( ‘complex slice’ ), restriction $$f_I$$ f to _I=\varOmega \cap satisfies Cauchy–Riemann equations associated with I, $$\overline{\partial }_If_I=0$$ on _I$$ , where }_I=\frac{1}{2}\big (\frac{\partial }{\partial \alpha }+I\frac{\partial \beta }\big )$$ Given any positive natural number n, called polyanalytic order n {C}^n$$ }_I^{\,n}f_I=0$$ I. We define global functions as which admit decomposition form $$f(x)=\sum _{h=0}^{n-1}\overline{x}^hf_h(x)$$ some $$f_0,\ldots ,f_{n-1}$$ Global are same n. converse not true: each $$n\ge 2$$ we give examples global. aim this paper study continuity differential regularity viewed solutions slice-by-slice their version $${\overline{\vartheta }\,}^nf=0$$ \setminus Our results extend monogenic case.

A Cauchy kernel for slice regular functions

In this paper we show how to construct a regular, non commutative Cauchy kernel for slice regular quaternionic functions. We prove an (algebraic) representation formula for such functions, which leads to a new Cauchy formula. We find the expression of the derivatives of a regular function in terms of the powers of the Cauchy kernel, and we present several other consequent results. AMS Classific...

Slice monogenic functions

In this paper we offer a new definition of monogenicity for functions defined on R with values in the Clifford algebra Rn following an idea inspired by the recent papers [6], [7]. This new class of monogenic functions contains the polynomials (and, more in general, power series) with coefficients in the Clifford algebra Rn. We will prove a Cauchy integral formula as well as some of its conseque...

Local Transparency Control of Medical Slice Images and its Application to Slice-Slice and Slice-Volume Fusion

In medical visualization, 2D slice images of human volume data are important as well as 3D volume rendering. The slice images are advantageous in focusing on regions of interest, while the volume rendering enables us to easily observe the whole region. In this paper, we propose a method to (1) create a transparent slice image, where its opacity is controllable by a user-defined transfer functio...

Extension results for slice regular functions of a quaternionic variable

In this paper we prove a new representation formula for slice regular functions, which shows that the value of a slice regular function f at a point q = x + yI can be recovered by the values of f at the points q + yJ and q + yK for any choice of imaginary units I, J,K. This result allows us to extend the known properties of slice regular functions defined on balls centered on the real axis to a...

A Phragmén - Lindelöf principle for slice regular functions

The celebrated 100-year old Phragmén-Lindelöf theorem, [15, 16], is a far reaching extension of the maximum modulus theorem for holomorphic functions that in its simplest form can be stated as follows: Theorem 1.1. Let Ω ⊂ C be a simply connected domain whose boundary contains the point at infinity. If f is a bounded holomorphic function on Ω and lim supz→z0 |f(z)| ≤ M at each finite boundary p...
