Solid Solution Strengthening of Mo, Re, Ta and W in Ni during High-Temperature Creep

چکیده

Solid solution strengthening of the unordered γ matrix phase by alloying elements is great importance during creep Ni-based superalloys, particularly at high temperatures above 1000 °C. To study role different potent solutes, we have conducted experiments on binary Ni-2X alloys (X = Mo, Re, Ta, W) °C, 1050 and 1100 °C a constant stress 20 MPa. Compared to mechanical tests below 800 where size mostly determines solid hardening contribution, contribution directly correlates with their diffusivity. Therefore, such as Ta that lead strong low become less effective higher are exceeded slower diffusing elements, Re.

Electrical conductivity of dense Al, Ti, Fe, Ni, Cu, Mo, Ta, and W plasmas.

We report measurements of electrical conductivity of eight metals in the plasma state at densities ranging from 0.002 to 0.5 times solid density, and with internal energy from 2 to 30 kJ/gm. Data are presented as functions of internal energy and specific volume. Conductivity is observed to fall as the plasma expands for fixed internal energy, and for all but tantalum and titanium shows a minimu...

1 ELECTRONIC EFFECTS AT INTERFACES IN Cu - Cr , Mo , W , Ta , Re MULTILAYERS

Interfacial electronic effects between Cu and the transition metals Cr, Mo, W, Ta, Re, are investigated by determining the strength of the white line absorption resonances on the L3,2 edges of Cu in Cu5/TM5 multilayers. X-ray absorption (XAS) was performed to study the white lines, which are directly related to the unoccupied states of Cu in the multilayers. The metallic multilayers are 2 nm in...

MEASUREMENT OF PGEs , Re , Mo , W AND Au IN METEORITIC Fe - Ni METAL

Introduction: The concentrations of Ni, Ga, Ge, and Ir are typically used to assign an iron meteorite to one of the chemical groups [cf., 1-3]. The improvements in analytical techniques, mainly INAA, and the systematic study of a large number of iron meteorites resulted in the development of an extensive database on their chemical compositions [4] which has been used in deciphering the origins ...

Seebeck coefficient measurements on Li, Sn, Ta, Mo, and W

The thermopower of W, Mo, Ta, Li and Sn has been measured relative to stainless steel, and the Seebeck coefficient of each of these materials has then been calculated. These are materials that are currently relevant to fusion research and form the backbone for different possibl e liquid limiter concepts includ ing TEMHD concepts such as LiMIT. For molybdenum the Seebeck coefficient has a linear...

High Magnetic Permeability Alloys Hardperm in the Ni-Fe-Ta-Mo System*

Starting materials used were 99.8% pure nickel, 99.9% pure iron, 99.9% pure tantalum, and 99.9% pure molybdenum. The materials in a total weight of 500g were melted with a high-frequency induction furnace in vacuum. The melt was poured into an iron mold with an opening of 20mm diameter and 150mm length. After forging, the ingot was reduced to a thin plate 0.3mm in thickness by rolling and a wir...
