Solid precipitation from aqueous formaldehyde solutions is a major technical problem, leading to troubles such as plugging and fouling. While these problems are ubiquitous in technology, it hard predict them, so their mitigation difficult. Data on the formation of solid phase formaldehyde-containing systems scarce basically only available for system (formaldehyde + water); even few data contradictory. We have tackled different sides present work.
