Solution-processed photodetectors from colloidal silicon nano/micro particle composite.
We demonstrate solution-processed photodetectors composed of heavy-metal-free Si nano/micro particle composite. The colloidal Si particles are synthesized by electrochemical etching of Si wafers, followed by ultra-sonication to pulverize the porous surface. With alkyl ligand surface passivation through hydrosilylation reaction, the particles can form a stable colloidal suspension which exhibits...
متن کاملSolution-Processed MoS2 /Organolead Trihalide Perovskite Photodetectors.
Integration of organic/inorganic hybrid perovskites with metallic or semiconducting phases of 2D MoS2 nanosheets via solution processing is demonstrated. The results show that the collection of charge carriers is strongly dependent on the electronic properties of the 2D MoS2 with metallic MoS2 showing high responsivity and the semiconducting phase exhibiting high on/off ratios.

Photodetectors capture optical signals with a wide range of incident photon flux density and convert them to electrical signals instantaneously. They have many important applications including imaging, optical communication, remote control, chemical/biological sensing and so on. Currently, GaN, Si and InGaAs photodetectors are used in commercially available products. Here we demonstrate a novel...
متن کاملSolution-processed PbS quantum dot infrared photodetectors and photovoltaics.
In contrast to traditional semiconductors, conjugated polymers provide ease of processing, low cost, physical flexibility and large area coverage. These active optoelectronic materials produce and harvest light efficiently in the visible spectrum. The same functions are required in the infrared for telecommunications (1,300-1,600 nm), thermal imaging (1,500 nm and beyond), biological imaging (t...
متن کاملSolution-processed amorphous silicon surface passivation layers
Amorphous silicon thin films, fabricated by thermal conversion of neopentasilane, were used to passivate crystalline silicon surfaces. The conversion is investigated using X-ray and constant-final-state-yield photoelectron spectroscopy, and minority charge carrier lifetime spectroscopy. Liquid processed amorphous silicon exhibits high Urbach energies from 90 to 120 meV and 200 meV lower optical...
