چکیده
The isogeometric methodology has been successfully implemented in one-step inverse analysis of sheet metal stamping processes. However, these models are not capable analyzing forming processes that require severe deformation and several stages. This paper presents a multi-step to enhance the precision predictions initial blank, strain distributions, drawability formed parts. deals with minimization potential energy, theory plasticity, considering membrane elements. presented utilizes NURBS basis functions create final, middle, blank geometries also analyze deformation. characteristics applied formulations make it possible simultaneously observe effects changing part parameters on its formability. One advantage this approach is linear system governing equations solved without concerning about convergence. Besides, can generate middle geometry restrict movements physical nodes along surface, by presenting new NURBS-based mapping sliding constraint technique. performance model experimentally numerically evaluated under two classical problems, including rectangular box two-step drawing circular cup. Results comparisons indicate credibility prediction at low computation time.

Isogeometric Analysis
We present an introduction to Isogeometric Analysis, a new methodology for solving partial differential equations (PDEs) based on a synthesis of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) technologies. A prime motivation for the development of Isogeometric Analysis is to simplify the process of building detailed analysis models for complex engineering systems from CAD represe...
متن کاملMulti-Patch Isogeometric Analysis of Space Rods
This paper deals with the isogeometric analysis using B-splines of space rods subject to Kirchhoff-Love hypotheses. A multi-patch isogeometric approach for the numerical analysis of the three-dimensional Kirchhoff-Love rod theory is developed. We use Bezier and B-splines interpolations and we show that they are able to attain very good accuracy for rod structures, particularly for developing a ...

Isogeometric analysis (IGA) aims to bridge the geometric divide between CAD systems and FEA software tools. It is founded on the idea of using the same basis functions to represent the CAD geometry and to approximate the physical quantities appearing in analysis. It promises to revolutionize the design and analysis processes for automobile, aerospace and marine industry by eliminating the need ...
متن کاملIsogeometric analysis in reduced magnetohydrodynamics
Isogeometric analysis (IGA) consists of using computer-aided design (CAD) models defining the geometry of the computational domain using both B-splines and nonuniform rational B-splines (NURBS) to represent the unknowns that are the solution of a partial differential equation using a finite element principle. In this paper, we review the main ideas of IGA and apply it to a reduced magnetohydrod...
متن کاملSome advances in open problems of isogeometric analysis
Isogeometric analysis (IGA) has arisen as an attempt to unify the fields of CAD and classical finite element methods. The main idea of IGA consists in using for analysis the same functions (splines) that are used in CAD representation of the geometry. The main advantage with respect to the traditional finite element method is a higher smoothness of the numerical solution and more accurate repre...
