Adaptive model predictive control for constrained, linear time varying systems
We consider a discrete-time, linear time varying (LTV), multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) system with nu inputs and ny outputs. The system is known to be asymptotically stable, but the exact dynamics and the way they change over time are not known. We denote the vector of control inputs at time step t ∈ Z by u(t) = [u1(t), . . . , unu(t)] T , where ui(t) ∈ R, i = 1, . . . , nu are the indi...
متن کاملSymmetry & Controllability for Spin Networks with a Single-Node Control
We consider the relation of symmetries and subspace controllability for spin1 2 networks with XXZ couplings, subject to perturbation of a single node by a local potential (Z-control). The Hamiltonians for such networks decompose into excitation subspaces. Focusing on the single excitation subspace, it is shown for single-node Z-controls that external symmetries are characterized by eigenstates ...
متن کاملPreconditioning PDE-constrained optimization with L1-sparsity and control constraints
PDE-constrained optimization aims at finding optimal setups for partial differential equations so that relevant quantities are minimized. Including sparsity promoting terms in the formulation of such problems results in more practically relevant computed controls but adds more challenges to the numerical solution of these problems. The needed L1-terms as well as additional inclusion of box cont...
متن کاملRelative controllability of nonlinear systems with time varying delays in control
The problem of controllability of dynamical systems described by nonlinear ordinary differential equations has been investigated by many authors [ i , 2, 7, 9, 10], with the help of Schauder's fixed point theorem. In particular Klamka [5, 6] has studied the controllability of nonlinear systems with different types of delay in control. In [3] Dacka introduced a new method of analysis based on th...
متن کاملControllability Approach to H∞ Control Problem of Linear Time-Varying Switched Systems
This paper considers a H∞ control problem of a class of linear uncertain time-varying switched system via controllability approach. We show that the solution of this problem can be verified by the global null-controllability of linear control systems. The feedback stabilizing controllers for the problem are constructed via the solutions of certain Riccati differential equations.
