Drought is one of the most common climatic or meteorological hazards and has spatiotemporal characteristics that substantially impact livelihoods economy worldwide. Therefore, there a need for efficient procedures accurately identify variability. Moreover, it crucial to continuously assess monitor drought occurrence in certain region prevent unfavourable impacts. For this purpose, current study develops new procedure analysis region: The Spatio-Temporal Weighted Joint Agglomerative Index (STWJADI). STWJADI mainly based on weighting scheme known as Two-Stage Standardized Weighting Scheme (STTSSWS). In first stage STTSSWS, steady-state probabilities are computed several stations (Astor, Bunji, Chilas, Gupis, Skardu, Gilgit) Northern Pakistan at 1-month time scale (scale-1) allocate weights various classes. second allocated acquire numerous classes designated region.
