Quark Mass Deformation of Holographic Massless QCD
We propose several quark mass deformations of the holographic model of massless QCD using the D4/D8/D8-brane configuration proposed by Sakai and Sugimoto. The deformations are based on introducing additional D4or D6-branes away from the QCD D4 branes. The idea is similar to extended technicolor theories, where the chiral symmetry breaking by additional D-branes is mediated to QCD to induce non-...
متن کاملNon critical holographic models of the thermal phases of QCD
We analyze the thermal phases of a non critical holographic model of QCD. The model is based on a six dimensional background of Nc non extremal D4 branes wrapping a spacial circle of radius R and the compactified Euclidean time direction of radius β = 1/T . We place in this background stacks of Nf D4 and anti-D4 flavor probe branes with a separation distance L at large radial direction. The ana...
متن کاملQuark mass dependence of hadron spectrum in holographic QCD
We compute a shift of baryon mass spectra due to quark masses in perturbation, in Sakai-Sugimoto model of holographic QCD. We find the shift for the ground state nucleons to be δM = 4.1 mπ GeV , which is consistent with the current lattice QCD result. We predict the same value of the shift for N(1535) and ∆, while a larger value 7.7 mπ GeV −1 for Roper N(1440). We also present some evidences th...
متن کاملQuark-gluon mixed condensate of the QCD vacuum in Holographic QCD
We investigate the quark-gluon mixed condensate based on an AdS/QCD model. Introducing a holographic field dual to the operator for the quark-gluon mixed condensate, we obtain the corresponding classical equation of motion. Taking the mixed condensate as an additional free parameter, we show that the present scheme reproduces very well experimental data. A fixed value of the mixed condensate is...
متن کاملSpectral Function of Quarks in Quark Matter
We have investigated the spectral function of light quarks in infinite quark matter using a simple, albeit selfconsistent model [1]. Relations between the spectral function and the collisional self-energies in the Born approximation were used to calculate the spectral function in an iterative process beyond the quasiparticle approximation. The quark interactions were described by the SU(2) Namb...
