چکیده

Orbital-selective phenomena in mutliorbital systems have received much attention due to their uniqueness as well possible connections other phenomena. As orbital-selectiveness is mostly related the crystal structure, finding a new control parameter than structure would be of significant importance. Here we report discovery an orbital-selective doping effect ${\mathrm{Sr}}_{2}{\mathrm{Ru}}_{1\ensuremath{-}x}{\mathrm{Ir}}_{x}{\mathrm{O}}_{4}$ (SRIO). Our systematic electronic study SRIO reveals anomalous and concomitant Lifshitz transitions (LTs) $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ band. With help tight-binding calculation, find that variation spin-orbit coupling (SOC) strength. findings not only elucidate mechanism LTs band but may also open avenues for novel SOC-controlled

Orbital order and spin–orbit coupling in BaVS3

The correlated 3d sulphide BaVS3 undergoes a sequence of three symmetry breaking transitions which are reflected in the temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility, and its anisotropy. We introduce a microscopic model based on the coexistence of wide band a1g and localized eg d-electrons, and give the classification of the order parameters under the double space group and time reversa...

Electron Orbital Angular Momentum and Spin- Orbit Coupling in Superconductivity

Received DOI: 2 Superconductivity arises when solids have conducting bands (singly occupied wave functions) that do not have electron-nuclear scattering (Fermi contact) and the temperature is low enough to eliminate partial wave scattering of electrons. This means that the conducting bands do not include s basis functions (atomic quantum numbers l ,m = 0), and the temperature is low enough so t...

Axial rotation, orbital revolution and solar spin–orbit coupling

The orbital motion of the Sun has been linked with solar variability, but the underlying physics remains unknown. A coupling of the solar axial rotation and the barycentric orbital revolution might account for the relationships found. Some recent published studies addressing the physics of this problem have made use of equations from rotational physics in order to model particle motions. Howeve...

Current driven spin–orbit torque oscillator: ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic coupling

We consider theoretically the impact of Rashba spin-orbit coupling on spin torque oscillators (STOs) in synthetic ferromagnets and antiferromagnets that have either a bulk multilayer or a thin film structure. The synthetic magnets consist of a fixed polarizing layer and two free magnetic layers that interact through the Ruderman-Kittel-Kasuya-Yosida interaction. We determine analytically which ...
