SsODNet: Solar system Open Database Network

The sample of Solar system objects has dramatically increased over the last decade. amount measured properties (e.g., diameter, taxonomy, rotation period, thermal inertia) grown even faster. However, this wealth information is spread a myriad articles, under many different designations per object. We provide solution to identification from any their multiple names or designations. also compile and rationalize an easy access them. aim continuously update database as new measurements become available. built Web Service, SsODNet, that offers four points, each corresponding identified necessity in community: name resolution (quaero), compilation large corpus (datacloud), determination best estimate among compiled values (ssoCard), statistical description population (ssoBFT). SsODNet interfaces are fully operational freely accessible everyone. resolver quaero translates ~5.3 million into current official designation. datacloud compiles about 105 parameters (osculating proper elements, pair family membership, albedo, mass, density, spin coordinates, phase function parameters, colors, inertia, Yarkovsky drift) 3,000 articles (and growing). For known asteroids dwarf planets (~1.2 million), ssoCard providing single best-estimate for parameter service provides these resources fraction second upon query. Finally, ssoBFT table all best-estimates population-wide studies.
